AutoC calls models through WhyEngineer. In the desktop app, open Settings → Account and store the API key on this machine.

Create a key

1. Register at api.whyengineer.com (new accounts get 100M tokens).
2. Console → Tokens → Add token, then copy the API key.

Add it in the desktop app

1. On the welcome screen click Global settings, or open Settings from the workspace sidebar (Ctrl+,).
2. Select Account on the left.
3. Paste the key into the WhyEngineer API key field and click Save.
4. When the status shows configured, you can switch models.

The key stays on this machine. To rotate it, paste a new key on the same page and save, or remove the key.

TIP

You can finish sign-in from the welcome screen before opening a project.

Enterprise license server

For your own models, open Settings → Account → License server, set the address, then Save & Connect. Steps and screenshots: Enterprise licensing.
